Each license is issued with a specific Maintenance (service) Expiration Date based on the date of the product's purchase date.
The product can be upgraded for free to any version (major or minor) released before the license key's Maintenance Date.
The Maintenance period for perpetual Standard, Professional, Domain and Server keys is 6 months starting from the date of purchase.
The Maintenance period for one year Subscription keys is 12 months starting from the date of purchase. This means that
you have access to any new version released within your subscription period.
Free updates: Within the maintenance period (which starts on the purchase date), you can download and install any
new release (major or minor version), and upgrade your product for free.
The latest version of all of our products are always published in our Downloads Page.
Please notice that what matters is the release date of the new version (as seen in the product's Release Notes page).
For example, if today is March 5, 2017 and your Maintenance date expired on June 12, 2015; you can upgrade for free to any newer version of the product
released before June 12, 2015; despite the fact that the current calendar date is March 5, 2017.
Before upgrading a product to a newer version, please make sure the service period of your license has not run out.
The product's "Release Notes" page in evotiva.com always states the release date of each new version.
Trying to upgrade to a version invalid for your service date will invalidate your license key.
Be sure to verify your product's Maintenance Expiration Date BEFORE upgrading it.
An invalid Maintenance Expiration Date (regarding to the product's release date) will invalidate your license, and the product will stop working.
The only way to fix the problem will be to uninstall the product, reinstall the old version and apply your old license key. Or else, you will have to
purchase a new key which will include a new Maintenance Date valid for the newly installed version of the product.
Perpetual keys will work forever, they do not expire. What the "Maintenance Expiration Date"
rules is the period in which you can get free upgrades.
Perpetual keys upgrades: You are entitled to the listed 'Upgrade' price of the license for two years after its Maintenance Expiration Date.
Subscription keys will stop working after their expiration date. If you are interested in renewing it,
please remember to purchase your renewal before the license's expire date.
All of our products can be configured to alert by email and/or on-screen when the expiration date is near. The new expiration date is based on the previous key's expiration date (not in the new key's purchase date). This is, the renewal date starts the next day of the current (expiring) license's expiration date. It does not matter if you purchase the renewal one month before
it expires or five month after it has already expired; the new expiration date will be the same.
Edition Upgrade by Paying Price Difference Within 90 Days of Purchase: Within 90 Days of Purchase, you can pay the
difference and replace for example, your Standard license with a Professional license.
